Scam signs โ if you see these, stop at once
๐Asks for OTP, PIN or card code. No bank, JazzCash or EasyPaisa ever asks for your OTP or PIN on a call or message. The moment someone asks, it is a scam โ cut the call.
๐ฆ"Your parcel is stuck โ pay a small fee." Courier companies never collect money like this on a call. Check your parcel only in the courier's official app or website.
๐ฆFake bank message with a link. Messages like "your account is blocked, click here" are fake. Banks do not send such links. Never type your details on a page that a message link opens.
โฐHurry, fear and threats. "Pay now or your account closes today", "a police case is on you" โ real departments never rush you like this. Pressure is the scammer's biggest weapon.
๐ธPay money first to earn money. Fake jobs, tasks and investments that ask for a deposit before you earn are always scams. Real work never asks you to pay to start.
๐Prize or lottery you never joined. If you never entered it, you never won it. Asking for a "fee" or "tax" to release a prize is a pure lie.
๐คA relative in trouble on a new number. "I lost my phone, send money fast" is often a stranger. First call the person's old number or a family member to confirm.
๐ฑAsks you to install an app or share your screen. If a "bank officer" or "agent" tells you to install AnyDesk or share your screen, he wants your account, not your help. Never do it.
Golden rules

If a scam happens โ do this at once
1Call your bank immediately on the official number written on your card. Block your card and account, and tell them to dispute the payment. Minutes matter.
2Secure your accounts. Change your PINs and passwords, and lock your JazzCash, EasyPaisa and banking apps from inside the apps.
3Save all proof. Keep screenshots of chats, the scammer's number, account details and payment receipts. You will need them for your complaint.
4Report to FIA Cybercrime. File a complaint with the FIA Cybercrime Wing with your proof. They are the official authority for online fraud in Pakistan.
5Report the number here with your proof, so the next person who checks it stays safe. Your one report can save many people.
6Beware the second scam. People who promise to recover your money for a fee are almost always scammers again. Never pay them.
